MEDIA RELEASE: Clayton County launches new elections website

Elkader – Clayton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Jennifer Garms announced that Clayton County voters will soon have a user-friendly website to find all of their election information. The website elections.claytoncountyia.gov officially goes live on Friday, February 19, 2021.

The website will be easier to navigate and offers a host of information and tools for both voters and candidates to quickly and easily find election information they seek. Access to election results, learning to register to vote, viewing sample ballots, and finding a form to request an absentee ballot is now simplified.

“We’ve been contemplating a way to make election materials more accessible to the public for some time and decided to work with Neapolitan Labs to create a streamlined website while still being budget conscious,” Garms said. “Voters will now be able to find everything related to elections in a user-friendly format.”

The website includes more past election information than our current website and a section listing contact information for all officials voted on by Clayton County voters. The new website features a streamlined designed that provides optimized viewing for those using a mobile device or tablet.

“We are pleased with how the website turned out and consider it a great source for information,” Garms said. “We encourage Clayton County voters to take advantage of this new resource and provide any feedback to our office.”

Voters who go to the Clayton County website, www.claytoncountyia.gov, for election information will be redirected to the new elections site.
